Frequently asked questions

Where are you located?

220 College Avenue, Ste 517, Athens, GA 30601 (On the 5th floor of the Fred Building)

Where can I park?

There is no designated parking for the Fred Building but there is metered parking in front of and all around downtown. The College Avenue Parking Deck is also right across the street.

Do I need to fill out paperwork before my visit?

You will need to complete the intake paperwork before your first session. It contains important information about appointments, cancellations, fee collection, privacy, and confidentiality. We will discuss these topics during our first meeting and I can answer any questions you may have. When you call to set up an appointment, you will get a link to your email with the paperwork attached.

how much do your services cost?

Individual sessions which are approximately 50 minutes and cost between $130-150, where $150 is the base rate. A lower rate within the range can be discussed. In effort to make counseling more affordable, I do have a few time slots available for those who cannot afford the rates within the range of cost.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out of network provider meaning I am not on any insurance panels. I can still help though and provide a superbill that you can give to your insurance company. Depending on your plan they may reimburse you for the service. Payment for the session is still due at the time of service. If your claim is denied by your insurance company, you are still responsible for the payment due.

What can i expect from my first session?

The first session aka the intake session helps assess your concerns and goals for therapy, to see if we would be a good fit to work together, and develop a personalized treatment plan. The intake session is a way for me to get to know the current snapshot of you.
